I was just reading about “the Brooklyn writing factory” in today’s Observer. If you’re a writer, Brooklyn is the place to be these days. Being around other writers really helps to keep the creative juices flowing.
I’m sure, like me, there are a few budding scribes in Melbourne. While I need solitude to scribble, it’d be great to bounce ideas around with others and chat about our challenges every once in a while. So I’ve been thinking about finding other Melburnian wordsmiths.
I’ve a meet up group that I bought and paid for six months ago, but never used. I’ve been wondering whether I could use that as a catalyst for connecting. What we’d do when we meet though is what I’m stuck with. Sharing short stories, rummaging through ramblings, telling tales, or typing tidbits – I’m not sure. So I’m seeking advice…
What would a writers’ meet up look like for you?
